I think there could be. Also worth noting that Hallow is VERY specifically Catholic, and Vance is a Catholic convert, so this feels like it's connected with the overall rise in far-right traditionalist aka "trad" Catholicism. As far the app itself, pretty sure it's kind of a Jesus-flavored version of the meditation app "Headspace".
I LOL'd at your dissection of the Hallow app. It's just a prayer app, dude. A lot of Catholics and other Christians find it helpful for their prayer lives. It offers plenty of free content, but they also have to turn a buck to keep it going. Maybe you should try it instead of drumming-up paranoia as a hobby on Substack?
Speaking of which, I was kind of interested in this Substack, but it's already getting a bit stale, so I'm going to unsubscribe. Peace be with you. 🙏🙏🙏
The prayer app is a joke, but what's wrong with Glenn Greenwald? If all he ever did was help Edward Snowden tell his story, it would be enough. Am I allowed to mention Edward Snowden name? Not trying to get you in trouble with your bosses. I just finished your book and I think Edward Snowden book "permanent record" would go nicely next to yours on the bookshelf.
Hi there, I am a molecular biologist who works in drug discovery. FWIW, amplify-bio is a pre-clinical CRO (contract research organization). That means they do all the testing for wannabe drugs BEFORE any trials are done in humans.
And, in an interesting twist of fate, it looks like a decent chunk of the leadership of Vance’s other biotech play, Kriya Tx, come from Vivek Ramaswamy’s —vant family of companies.
Thanks for the valuable overview of his find investments, you can tell a lot about a man by the companies he funds.
I actually went to college (Notre Dame) with the guys who made the "Hallow" app and seeing it get that big is... really something.
Oh that's wild — I wonder if it's actually a successful business or just lots of free users to jack up the stats... seems like *another* story here

Even Rogers...

Amazing how far these so-called Christians have strayed from the path of Christ.
First and foremost the New Testament teaches that pursuit of wealth for its own sake and being selfish and mean are very bad things.
One has to do some incredible mental gymnastics to arrive at something like the prosperity gospel.
JUICY STUFF HERE. Especially the one company with the mRNA interest. One has to wonder if Ramaswampy has similar investments.
It is DAN BONGINO, not DON

Thanks for putting this together! Great overview.
Thank you for that illuminating overview.
