Reading through your list I found it interesting that there were a number of female protagonists in the films. As a woman myself I despair at times about the number of male films, where females are peripheral characters and males are the centre of all the action. I will be interested in locating some of these films with female protagonists. I enjoy your column. Thanks for sharing your insights
