Vice, since halting new articles, was still valuable because of its back catalog. Because of its archives. Now they're going to junk that too?

I remember a brilliant idea for a website I once had: just ads, nothing but. Older and wiser, I now see how dumb a digital pennysaver for luxury brands was. You have to give people a reason to look at something that's next to your ad. You have to pay to produce compelling *content*.

The Apple "Crush" ad, in my opinion, signals a cultural shift within Apple. They have some of the smartest marketers in the world. Why didn’t anyone speak up? If they did, why were they overruled? It seems like an obvious misstep once pointed out.

I suppose you could say they were compacting all of those instruments into their product... but it looked bad: boorish, violent, worse than troglodyte... a fascistic uber mensh level of anti art and intellectualism... but as a graphic for corporate profit over the value of human endeavour and life for life's sake it was a perfect illustration
